Last December, a friend of mine extended an invitation. She wanted to know if I would come speak at a church women’s dinner meeting in February. On February 3, I gave my speech. Here is part two…

When Jehovah introduced Himself to Moses, of all the hundreds of names He could have chosen, the name He chose was: I AM. Peter taught, “There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). The name of Christ not only saves us from our sins but it can also save us from our sorrows and heartaches, if we do not use it in vain. How are you using the name of Christ? Would The Great I Am approve of the words you are using with His name?
Psalm 19:14 has become one of my favorites. It is often rolling through my head in the form of Ellie Holcomb’s beautiful song, “May the Words.” May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock.
So if the dragon’s words are a flood of lies, what are the words of Christ? “And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth” (D&C 85:7).
Naomi Thomas (The Birth Pro) was one of the women who attended the meeting. She recorded the last six or seven minutes of my speech and was sweet enough to upload it to YouTube for me. Here is the video…
I release the false belief that speaking in public is too hard for me.
I am a speaker!
